Gulf Coast German Shorthaired Pointer Club
The Gulf Coast German Shorthaired Pointer Club (GCGSPC) is a non-profit organization whose objectives are to encourage and promote ethical and responsible breeding of pure bred GERMAN SHORTHAIRED POINTERS and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection, to urge acceptance of the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which the GERMAN SHORTHAIR shall be judged and bred, to do all in our power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsman like competition at conformation shows, obedience, agility trials, tracking tests, field trial and hunting tests.
Membership is not limited to simply GSP’s but we also invite other pointing breeds to join our Club. Our Club is a member of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America (GSPCA.org) which is associated with the American Kennel Club. GCGSPC is a licensed club which hosts field trials, hunt tests, shows with obedience & rally, agility trials. These events are not possible without Clubs to host them. Owners can earn titles on their dogs by entering AKC events & winning or earning passes on pass/fail events. These events are open to all qualifying dogs regardless of membership in this organization.
Within the club is a diverse group of people from all walks of life and backgrounds with one common bond… their dogs. GCGSPC members desire to promote and showcase their German Shorthaired Pointer’s abilities whether in the show ring, on the hunting field, or simply serving their ever important role as man’s best friend. With this common bond, the novice to the expert is welcome to be a part of GCGSPC. Whether gleaning from the hundreds of years of combined experience, or contributing to seeing another dog owner grow - - there is a place here for you.
Learn, grow, compete, socialize, exchange ideas, GSP resource… all are ideas that make GCSPC the organization it is. Won’t you come be a part?
